The Machine Application Process

Substrate Inspection and Coating calculation
Wood substrate is received at finishing plant and examined for obvious physical defects, as well as monitored for proper moisture content.

Quality Control Checks
Coating color is checked to insure that it is in compliance with benchmark color authorized for the job, ensuring consistent color quality.

Coatings Applied Under Optimum Conditions
Each piece is flooded with coating on top, sides and back as the board travels on through a series of pressure rollers. Brushes smooth the coating, ensuring even coating distribution and finished appearance across all surfaces of the board.

Boards are Inspected, Dried, Cured and Properly Packaged
Each piece of siding is reviewed as it exits the machine for good general appearance. Each board is then placed onto a drying rack to properly cure the coating. The boards are subjected to ventilation and/or heat for an even cure. When properly cured, each individual board is removed from the racking system and inspected as it is prepared for packaging to ensure proper coverage and appearance.
